Piano Express

Piano Express is a short focused piano consultation designed to help you work through one specific issue in your playing.

Each session lasts 20 minutes and focuses on one clear question or problem. Piano Express is open to pianists of all levels, from beginners to professional musicians. The goal is not to cover everything at once, but to look closely at one issue and find a practical direction or solution together.

Examples of what we can focus on:

  • a specific passage that doesn’t feel comfortable or clear
  • tension or discomfort in a certain part of the hand or arm
  • difficulties with a specific type of technique (finger technique, double notes, repetitions, jumps, etc.)
  • difficulties playing with both hands (coordination issues)
  • questions about fingering choices
  • difficulties with specific articulation or dynamics

Requests can be very different, both technical and musical. The main idea is to focus on one clearly defined issue rather than a broad goal such as “improving technique in general.”

If you’d like to join, fill out the form below and I’ll personally contact you to arrange the session time.

Background

Hello dear Dasha, it has been 2 weeks since we had our lesson. I am here to share the results, I know 2 weeks is very little time but I see some results! First of all is the sound. The sound has become very deep and rich when I try to play with my palm muscles. And I don't have pain in my forearms and hands anymore (I used to feel a lot of pain in my forearms and wrist), and as you said I feel more comfortable and confident at the piano. And a very big result that I see was in balancing the sounds. It was difficult for me to bring out a sound, for example alto or bass or soprano in a chord or double note, but I figured out if I use the muscle of the specific finger and contract my palm more in direction of it, its sound will be more than the others so I can bring out a note easier in the chords! That is a great achievement for me.
