About Dasha
Dasha at Piano

Hi!

I'm Dasha, and I've been playing piano for over 21 years now. During that time, I've been on quite the journey —from the feeling that my profession is the best in the world to being completely convinced that piano just wasn't for me at all. :) Thankfully, during the toughest moments, I had incredible people around me who helped me stay motivated and keep going.

Now, I feel like I've gained enough experience and knowledge to help other pianists feel more confident and discover their own potential. At the same time, I never stop learning myself — I continue to study, experiment, attend various masterclasses and give concerts. I truly believe that to be a good teacher, you have to keep growing yourself too.

I know the struggles pianists go through firsthand – I'm walking that path too. Sharing my knowledge with others is something I absolutely love. It inspires me and reminds me that everything I've done was worth it.

So, let's see how I can help you

Personal lessons

For Beginners

  • We'll begin by discussing your goals and the timeline you're aiming for, then create a personalized lesson plan.
  • You'll have a clear structure for your lessons, so you'll always know what we're working on and why.
  • I'll explain in simple terms how a pianist's body works, which muscles you need to focus on, and how we'll develop them together.
  • Even if you can only dedicate a little time to piano lessons, that's totally fine. You'll still see progress, and that will keep you motivated!
  • And here's a little bonus: if there's a challenging piece you dream of playing but feel like you're not ready for it, it would be my pleasure to create an arrangement that suits your current skill level.

For Professionals

  • You often have a nagging feeling that your playing isn't as comfortable as it could be.
  • Certain technical places feel out of reach, and you find yourself holding back from attempting pieces you've always wanted to play.
  • Learning new pieces takes far more time than it should.
  • Despite all the effort, you feel unsure on stage and lose half of what you worked so hard on.
  • Balancing old repertoire with new pieces feels confusing, and you have no idea how to come up with a clear, structured plan.
  • Teachers praise your potential, but the results never quite meet expectations.

Score analysis

All pianists know that when studying printed sheet music, you only get part of the instructions for performing a piece. A lot remains "behind the scenes" – fingering solutions, pedaling, and phrasing. In classical and baroque pieces, articulations and dynamics are not always indicated. All of these elements are usually added based on personal experience and taste. I can save you time by analyzing the sheet music of your chosen piece, giving you more guidance on how to interpret it effectively.

Recording analysis

When your piece is ready and performed as a whole, it's important to see how it can be improved. I will analyze your video and provide recommendations on what to focus on next. You can also ask me any questions about the piece, and we'll discuss them.
